Often, I’ll allow Rayden, my son, sit on the kitchen counter while I am cooking. He does a very good job at just staying one place. Once he gets too rambunctious, though, he goes back on the floor and into his play area. I think the secret to him staying seated in one place is he gets to taste-test all of the ingredients. He loves it and I do, too. I’ll often cut off a portion of fruit or vegetable and let him play with it. Avocado is a lot of fun!
His appetite grows more and more everyday. Sometimes I find myself not being able to cut vegetables fast enough. While I am prepping food on the cutting board his little fingers will get into the mixing bowl and he will start eating everything! Makes me laugh so much! Maybe this could be a food eating competition show, “Kitchen Wars: Baby VS Mommy” or something like that. Anyways, this salad is refreshing and a perfect salad to share with your loved ones. Even the mix of colors are pleasant with healing greens, pops of berry colors, and sprinkles of white.
